UPDATE: Missing BC woman found safe after boarding train

(Update: April 16, 2024 @ 2 pm): Police say that a woman reported missing from Smithers has been located safe.

The search is on for missing woman Robyn Lindsey Syvania Hyde, who went missing after boarding a train in Smithers on April 15, 2024.

RCMP say it is believed that Hyde, age 48, boarded a westbound train at 4:20 pm on Monday.

Hyde had said that she was going to Haida Gwaii for work, however all calls and texts to her have gone unanswered.

Mounties are asking the public for help locating her. Police and family are concerned for her well-being.
