UPDATE: 12-year-old girl found after going missing in Northern BC

(UPDATE: April 18 @ 7:54 am): The girl has now been found.

Police provided no other information. 

In a brief news release this morning, they thanked the media and public for their assistance.


(Original story: April 18 @ 6:45 am): Mounties in Northern British Columbia are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl.

She has not been seen since April 15 at about 8:30 pm, according to police.

They said she was reported missing on April 16.

Efforts “were immediately made” to find her, police said, “but to date have been unsuccessful.” 

The RCMP provided the following description of the girl: 

She was last seen walking along Airport Drive, heading toward the Southridge Trailer Park, in Fort Nelson. 

Anyone that spots her is urged to call the police.
