UPDATE: Missing BC woman found 'safe and sound'

(UPDATE: April 16 @ 7:57 am): The woman has been found "safe and sound," according to police.

In a notice sent to media outlets this morning, Mounties thanked the public for their assistance.


(Original story: April 16 @ 6:22 am): McBride RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Tara Ann-Mari Schwab.

Police and her family worry she is in medical distress.

Schwab is described as five feet tall, weighing 100 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair.

She was last seen around 5 am at the Petro Canada in McBride, according to RCMP.

She was seen wearing a dark hoodie and either black Ugg boots or small blue shoes, and carrying a Petro Canada reusable bag and an over-the-shoulder bag.

Schwab lives in Prince George but has been in McBride over the past three days.

Police found her car abandoned around 7:30 am this morning, but she has not been located.
