For music fans, a couple of the key questions regularly posed in any new city are:

“Where can I catch some live music, and who are the hot bands to look out for?”

With September upon us, I thought I’d compile a brief and handy list of some of Kelowna’s live music venues and artists. Whether you’ve recently moved to Kelowna for school or work, are visiting from out of town (or perhaps just turned 19…) - if you love live music - this article is for you!

Before we dive into the list, a quick disclaimer: there are many great acts and live music venues in Kelowna - our music scene is thriving. By its very nature this article isn’t intended to be comprehensive, but rather a starting point for people who are new to Kelowna and the music scene. I’m not stating that these artists or venues are the best in Kelowna, but I am saying that they’re worth checking out. If your favourite band or venue isn’t listed, please share them in the comments so that readers can check them out too.
