Educating our clients about the audience they will be marketing to is one of the most important things we as home stagers can do.

Buyers prefer homes that both are clean and in move-in condition. They want to unpack their dishes and glassware and feel comfortable in their new home right away.  Often you hear people say it’s the kitchen and bathrooms that really sell a home.

Many homeowners, however, don’t have the time, energy or financial resources for major kitchen and bathroom renovations..When it’s time to sell, how can a cash-strapped seller appeal to buyers who want — even expect — an upgraded kitchen?

One  affordable, quick, easy way for sprucing up your kitchen is to update your cabinet hardware.  Kitchen cabinet hardware can make a big impact on the look and feel of not just your kitchen cabinets, but the entire room.

The shape of and finish on your pulls, knobs and handles can put the final touch on your kitchen design. The very same cabinet might have a vintage feel with porcelain knobs, or a contemporary look with brushed nickel pulls. Think of the hardware like jewelry for your cabinets. You can buy new hardware for just a few dollars and install them yourself.

Here are a couple of  samples of hardware we have found that will spruce up your cabinets nicely...

This 3 inch Satin Nickel Notched Pull features distinctive lines and a beautiful finish to add contemporary style to your cabinets or drawers

This twisted t-shape drawer pull ($5 each) is shown here in a matte black finish that goes with many different cabinet styles. This pull is also available in weathered nickel or weathered iron finishes, and is part of the Rhapsody collection.
