When selling your home... overlooking closets and storage areas including the kitchen pantry is a major no no!  Buyers look everywhere and storage is one of the contributing factors they consider when purchasing.

So the idea is to make your pantry look huge and inviting.  You pantry should express the feeling of large family meals and great entertaining.  Get creative with your pantry and show that small spaces can work.

Whether you have a single door area such as a linen closet or a walk in pantry or simply a set of cupboards that you use for food storage, you can make the area appealing.  Any potential buyer of your home wants to see that your kitchen area has potential.  It comes down to one thing… Organization!  ..  and no I didn’t just swear at you lol J

Organizing your pantry is easier than you think. Follow these three steps to save time in the kitchen.  |Here are a few simple tips to get you started..

Declutter - It’s just so much easier when you don’t have to shuffle around clutter to get to the stuff you really need

Group like items with like items - (for example: baking items such as flour, sugar, baking powder, etc.)  Put the items you use the most on the shelves at eye level. Put the least used items (such as small kitchen appliances and seasonal items) on the highest shelves.

Plan and purchase storage solutions – if the existing shelving inside the pantry is sometimes not right for your purposes...don't be afraid to add more.

Keep in mind that you are trying to give the impression of room or space.  You want to give the impression that there is more than enough room for the new owner’s things.  Keep everything in neat rows and consolidate small items into baskets or containers.  Making sure that everything is clean will go a long way in giving your pantry that pleasant fresh look.
