Chef Adam Relvas, owner of The Sandwich Company in Kelowna, has achieved another milestone in his culinary journey. This year, Relvas was nominated for Best Chef and proudly earned the Silver for Best Caterer, showcasing his commitment to providing high-quality, delicious food to the community. "It’s an honour to be recognized in such a vibrant food scene," Relvas said during the interview.

His café, The Sandwich Company, has been serving Kelowna’s business district since 2016. Relvas explains that his motivation behind opening the café was to create a better work-life balance while still pursuing his passion. "I wanted to find a way to keep cooking and spend more time with my kids, and the café offered that balance," he shared. The café is known for offering fresh, wholesome food, including sandwiches, salads, and soups made in-house.

In addition to running a successful café, Relvas also leads a bustling catering business that serves everything from corporate lunches to weddings and wine dinners. His passion for local ingredients is clear: “Being able to showcase local farmers' produce is always fun. It adds a personal touch to every event we cater.”

Relvas’ dedication doesn’t stop with food; he’s also deeply involved in giving back to the community. Through initiatives like "Bake the World a Better Place," where chefs auction pies for charity, and regular meal donations to local organizations, Relvas is committed to supporting those in need. "We had people help us when we were going through tough times, and now it’s our turn to give back," Relvas explained.
