Hey there, amazing community supporters! We're thrilled to bring you the winners of the Best Local Charity, as voted by you!

A big shoutout to Secure-Rite Mobile Storage for presenting these outstanding organizations!

Bronze: Kelowna Women's Shelter

The Kelowna Women's Shelter has been a beacon of hope since 1980, providing a safe haven for women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Covering the area from Oyama to Peachland, the shelter offers more than just emergency accommodation.

They extend a helping hand with ongoing support, advocacy, outreach, and preventive education programs, all free and available 24/7.

This incredible shelter is a member of various associations, emphasizing their commitment to confidentiality and support for those in need.

You can contribute to their cause by donating at 6-368 Industrial Ave.

Silver: Paws it Forward Dog Rescue

Picture this: two friends working in a pet store, learning about helpless animals facing euthanasia. Fast forward to today, and Paws It Forward Dog Rescue is a silver winner!

Since 2011, they've rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed hundreds of dogs globally, driven by the belief that every dog deserves a chance at a better life.

Paws It Forward doesn't discriminate based on age, breed, or location, working tirelessly to find loving homes.

Volunteers play a crucial role, and the organization promotes responsible dog care through school visits.

Remember, they're all about making the right match, not a quick adoption. Join their cause, and maybe even find a furry friend to bring home!

Gold: Mamas for Mamas

A massive round of applause for the gold winner, Mamas for Mamas

This national charitable organization is changing the landscape of poverty by supporting mothers and caregivers facing various struggles.
