The smoke has disappeared and it feels great to once again be able to participate in all the activities that make Kelowna wonderful, like hiking!

From classic casual walks to uphill feats, our city has it all.

You voted and we listened! Here are the top three hiking trails in Kelowna as voted by you!

Gold: Knox Mountain Park

If you ask anyone in Kelowna what hiking trail is their favourite, they'll most likely say Knox Mountain Park. This trail ranges from moderate to difficult depending on the length you choose.

While the incline can be steep, the view is beyond worth it! With two scenic stops at the middle of the mountain and at the top, it’s easy to see why this hiking trial has become the perfect destination for walkers, runners and Instagrammers alike!  It’s also dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your fur-baby for a well-deserved walk!

Silver: Myra Canyon Trestles

This light walking trail offers rich history about the Kettle Valley Railway accompanied with highly scenic views. Originally built by hand, this staple allows outdoor-lovers to walk along 18 trestle bridges and two tunnels.

All the trestles run along the impressively steep-walled canyon that offers the perfect adrenaline rush! Walk, run or bike the trestles to get the most out of your experience. And don’t forget your camera! Between the views and the wildlife, there are tons of opportunities for photos.

Bronze: Paul’s Tomb

An extension of Knox Mountain Park, this easy hike has you overlooking the ever beautiful Okanagan Lake. While the walk down is causal, be aware that the walk back up can be steep so bring water!

The walk itself is beautiful but the end is what makes this hike worthwhile. At the end of the walk, you will encounter a beautiful opening that takes you straight to a rock beach. Here, you can dip your toes in the icy Okanagan and take in the view. Be sure to bring Fido along for the walk!

Other nominees in this category:

Mission Creek Greenway, Pincuchion Mountain Park, Rose Valley Park, Mt. Boucherie, Spion Kop, Crawford Falls and Bear Creek Falls.
