In the past, finding a vegan restaurant was hard and finding one nearby was nearly impossible.

Luckily, the movement has continued to grow and Kelowna now boasts various tasty vegan restaurants.

If you’re looking for a great new vegan restaurant to try, or just want to eat somewhere new, check out the best vegan restaurants in town, as voted by you and brought to you by Secure-Rite Mobile Storage.

Bronze - The Salty Caramel Kitchen

This fully vegan cafe/ restaurant serves delicious breakfast and lunch items along with a wide selection of baked goods.

The Salty Caramel Kitchen started off in 2016 as a home-based cake business because at the time there was nowhere to purchase vegan cakes, and they were looking to fill the void.

They strive to offer tasty meals and treats that will appeal to people from all walks of life.

Organic products are used in their menu items when available and they are always looking to partner with local businesses to source everything from produce to their beverages because this vegan joint knows the importance of keeping things local.

Want to know what's on the menu?

Some of their fan favourites include the Hash Bowl, a cheesy seasoned hash with all the fixings including smokey maple mayo and a vegan fried egg, their Chick’n Bacon Ranch Sandwich which has soy chick’n, tofu bacon, chao cheese and even some delicious vegan ice cream sandwiches!

If you want to dig into their delicious, meat-free meals, head over to 11407 Okanagan Centre Rd W in Lake Country.

Silver - Naked Cafe

The mission at Naked Cafe is simple: serve delicious food.

This Kelowna favourite opened its doors back in 2015, with the goal of serving fully vegan cuisine to the downtown core and since then it has set the bar when it comes to vegan diners in town.

Naked Cafe has healthy and nutritious options, and its items are geared toward familiar favourites. But that doesn’t mean the menu doesn’t feature some meat-free twists on comfort food too!

If you’re looking for a little pick-me-up, grab a cup of their organic coffee or one of their lattes topped with some delicious homemade coconut whipped cream.

If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, you’ve probably just found your new go-to restaurant. They are happy to cater to allergies and intolerances, and their kitchen is entirely nut-free!

Want to check out Naked Cafe? You can find them on 571 Lawrence Ave downtown.

Gold - Frankie We Salute You

Our gold medal winner believes that what happens to food before it arrives at their restaurant is just as important as how it's prepared when it gets to the kitchen.

That’s why the items on their menu come from local farmers and growers. So you know when your meal arrives at your table it’s going to be fresh, tasty and sustainable.

The team at Frankie We Salute You have a serious passion for high-quality and affordable vegan cuisine.

Anybody who visits falls in love instantly, vegans and meat-eaters alike. From their vegan takes on restaurant favourites, to their incredible drink menu, there is something for everyone to enjoy here.

Try out their Cauliflower Wings, Famous Pumpkin Ramen, Broccoli Caesar Salad or one of their other delicious menu items.

If you want to hit up our gold medal winner, make the trip over to #6 - 1717 Harvey Ave.
