Fine dining restaurants are perfect for those special date nights, milestone celebrations and times when you just feel like treating yourself (because you deserve it!). Luckily for us here in Kelowna, the fine dining scene has been growing over the past several years and there are now so many great restaurants to choose from.

One of the best things about fine dining in Kelowna is that so many of the eateries take advantage of the locally grown produce in the Okanagan, offering deliciously fresh food and excellent service in cozy atmospheres. Here is some more information about the top three medalists from the Fine Dining category of Best of Kelowna 2017, as voted by you!

Gold: RauDZ

RauDZ has become almost synonymous with fine dining around Kelowna, and has won many Best Of Kelowna medals over the years. Offering fine dishes in a comfortable atmosphere, RauDZ has become a go-to place for an amazing dinner in the Okanagan.

RauDZ sources many of its ingredients locally, offering a menu that changes with the seasons and truly embraces the farm-to-table trend. The restaurant is loved for offering such fresh and delicious food, and for being very reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant.

Silver: Waterfront Wines Restaurant and Bar

Waterfront Wines Restaurant and Bar has some commonalities with this year’s Gold medalist as its menu and ingredients also have a strong local influence. They also won Bronze in the Fine Dining category for the past two years.

Their motto is that “food, wine and good times were meant to be shared” and they encourage this with delicious food, a carefully procured drink menu and a homey atmosphere. Waterfront Wine’s Chef, Mark Filatow, is also a Sommelier so you know you’ll be getting the best wine and food pairings.

Bronze: Bouchons Bistro

Bouchons Bistro offers the finest French cuisine paired with wines from the Okanagan and France. Parisian-inspired decor offers a European ambiance right in downtown Kelowna.

The restaurant’s Executive Chef, Luc Bissonnette, has an impressive resume which includes studying cuisine in France. The Chef’s passions for French cuisine and owner, Stephane Facon’s vision for an authentic dining experience clearly show as this is their fifth Best of Kelowna medal.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to visit these fantastic fine dining restaurants (or even if you already have), you should definitely find an excuse to go, even if it’s just a reward for making it to the weekend! Congratulations to all of the nominees, finalists and medalists, and thank-you to everyone who voted.
