Atticus is looking for a furever home!

This big, exuberant boy bursting with love and enthusiasm!

BC SPCA

Atticus came to the Penticton SPCA under unfortunate circumstances, but is ready to find his very own home full love!

He is a 2-year-old Great Dane / Anatolian Shepherd cross, and has made a lot of progress since coming into the care of the SPCA.

When Atticus first entered care, he was underweight, and now he loves his food—sometimes a little too much! He’s learning to pace himself and would benefit from a feeding routine that supports his healthy weight gain.

He is a very clever boy, and is eager to please. He will require training, and he can be unaware of his own strength so a house with young children is not ideal while he figures out how to play politely.

Atticus can be selective about other dogs and may prefer to be the only pet in the home. However, with the guidance of an AnimalKind trainer and positive reinforcement, he can continue to build confidence and improve his social skills.

If you’re ready to give this lovable big guy the forever home he deserves, Atticus can’t wait to meet you! Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire. (Animal ID: 602093)

Atticus is currently awaiting his neuter surgery, so is only available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area.
