Jesse is an 11-year-old Pharaoh Hound who is looking for a loving home.

This sweet and charming senior pup is looking for a retirement home where he can enjoy his golden years.

BC SPCA

He is currently in a foster home placed by the Penticton SPCA, where it is reported that he is a perfect gentleman! Jesse is polite, affectionate and devoted.

While he’s tolerant of some dogs, he prefers smaller canine friends and needs slow introductions. Larger dogs can bring out some reactive behaviours, so careful management will be important. Jesse isn’t a fan of cats and would do best in a feline-free home.

Although he is older, Jesse still has lots of pep in his step! He loves long walks, hikes and playtime. He loves going on adventures and being with his family.

BC SPCA

Jesse thrives in a quiet environment with a structured routine. He would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who can provide stability. He also needs controlled introductions to unfamiliar visitors to help him feel safe and secure.

Due to past experiences, his new family must be aware of all incidents in previous foster homes and be ready to continue his training and support.

He also has some separation anxiety to work through, but in the meantime a work-from-home or retired human would be great for Jesse.

BC SPCA

While he does have some lumps and bumps that come with old age, Jesse has been given a clean bill of health by a veterinarian and is ready to thrive in a loving home!

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a senior pup who still has so much love to give, Jesse is eager to meet you!
