Directions:
Located just past Seymour Arm. From Salmon Arm, turn left off Hwy 1 onto Squilax-Anglemont Rd. Follow along for 46 km (past Scotch Creek, Celista, Anglemont and St. Ives) and continue onto the scenic forest service road for approximately 40km. Instead of turning right to go to Seymour Arm, head straight and continue until you reach the 15 km marker (5km). Just past the bridge over the Seymour River you will see the trail on the left.
Description:
I have a special place in my heart for Seymour Arm, so the long drive in has never bothered me! Getting treated to stunning views, amazing waterfalls and beautiful sandy beaches always makes the trip worth it.
From the parking area (side of the logging road), head to the right of the large tree where the “Falls” sign is. Within seconds, we were surrounded by a beautiful lush green forest. It's hard to believe this is in the Okanagan!
The trail to Seymour River Falls is short and sweet. Within 15 minutes we came to the Seymour River and the top of the falls. This large river goes rushing down and drastically drops into the canyon. Although these falls are not very tall, the power of the river is what's so spectacular!
After checking out the top view, we circled back and took the various side trails to view different angles of the falls. After enjoying the sights, we headed back up to the vehicle.
If you're going to make the trek out this far, you may as well have a few treats at the end! Silver Beach Provincial Park in Seymour Arm is a beautiful sandy beach located along the shores of the Shuswap Lake. Also, you should also check out the amazing Albas Falls Provincial Park! All three of these locations are within 20 minutes of each other. There is also camping available at both Silver Beach and Albas Falls Provincial Park.
Always remember to be mindful of your surroundings, pack out what you pack in, stick to the trails and Happy Exploring!

The road in has many potholes, drive slow and enjoy the views.
