Another music has stepped up to the plate in the wake of Pemberton Music Festival’s sudden cancellation.

Tall Tree Music Festival, which is located in Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island, announced on Wednesday that they would offer a free ticket to anyone with a Pemberton pass.

“When we placed ourselves in the shoes of those not only out of pocket, but also, without a music festival to attend this summer, we empathize,” said the festival’s Facebook post. “Yes we are festival organizers, but we are also festival goers, and in short, we are a festival community, so let’s act like one.”

The three day festival takes place from June 23rd until June 25th and, like Pemberton, it’s a camping festival.

It’s nowhere near Pemberton in size, but offers a large range of mostly Canadian talent that includes Tokyo Police Club and Beats Antique.

The ticket exchange is only for 250 people and it will be done on a first come first serve basis.

You can find out more about the process of exchanging your Pemberton pass for a Tall Tree ticket on their website.

Tall Tree isn’t the first music festival to make this exchange offer to Pemberton pass holders, but it is the closest festival to Pemberton to do it..

On Friday, WayHome Music & Arts Festival in Ontario said they would give a free ticket to anyone with a Pemberton ticket as well.

The only issue with WayHome’s offer is the $600 price tag on a round trip flight to Toronto.
