These Photoshopped Portraits Show How People Around the World Define Beauty

Each country around the world has its own idea of what represents beauty. In an effort to get a true picture of what different countries deem as beautiful, journalist Esther Honig send out a photo of herself using the online marketplace Fiverr.

She sent the photo to nearly 40 graphic designers in over 25 countries, and tasked them with editing the photo to make her look ‘beautiful’. So far, 19 countries have returned their photos and the results truly represented the personal and cultural standards of beauty around the world.
