NEW VINTAGE THEATRE COMPANY IS LAUNCHED IN KELOWNA

Exciting news for fans of theatre! After a summer of fantastic plays in the
Okanagan, a new theatre company called New Vintage Theatre is being launched
this fall with an aim to create and produce new works and remount the
classics in captivating ways.  This new group has big hopes to build a small
professional contemporary company in 2013-14 and is starting by offering
some cool acting classes for adults this fall.

"Kelowna is a place with an amazing theatre community with a dynamic talent
base. We look forward to presenting our own unique take on theatre, a little
more off the beaten path, but we believe it will be as captivating as the
other excellent options patrons have experienced this season. It will also
hopefully give those artists who would like to pursue theatre professionally
even more options to stay right here in The Okanagan,"
-Explains inaugural Artistic Director Bonnie Gratz

Bonnie Gratz, a director-actor-playwright originally from Calgary, is
leading the first series of fun theatre classes for aspiring adult actors
and challenging classes for those who want to push themselves to the next
level.   Guest artists will also be featured in the series. Bonnie's plays
have toured throughout Western Canada and she has been working as a
professional artist for the last 11 years. Her classes are known for being
one of a kind & her children's classes at Bumbershoot Theatre are a hit.

The full line-up of adult classes, held in Mission and Downtown Kelowna,
can be found at www.newvintage.ca  and watch for the launch of  New Vintage
Theatre's season of innovative and provocative plays early in 2013. For an
