Bad news for Toronto Maple Leaf fans as the team has been ranked dead last among professional franchises, at least according to ESPN.

The results from ESPN’s 2014 Ultimate Standings surveyed more than 101,000 North American fans and had them rate 25 aspects of major teams including return for emotion, money and time. The Toronto Maple Leafs landed in 122nd spot; dead last according to the fans.

The team was called least affordable and worst bang for buck. But it’s not all bad news as other teams placed last for other aspects including the Panthers for coaching, the Knicks are the worst for fan relations and the worst stadium experience is at the Islanders home.

According to the fans the Grizzlies are the most affordable team of all the professional teams. The San Antonio Spurs have been ranked as the best team of all the franchises. The Spurs are seen as having the best coaching, fan relations, ownership and players.

Canadian teams did not fare well on the ESPN list as the first north of the border team lands on the list in 55th spot. The Montreal Canadians are seen as having good ownership which includes honesty and loyalty to core players and community.

The teams ESPN looked at include ones in MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL teams and MLS teams were not included. To see the full list click here.
