The Immaculata Mustangs are the new Valley champs after beating the their rivals from Kamloops.

The final game came down to the Mustangs vs. the St. Ann's Crusaders, the same two teams in last year's Valley final. The previous year saw St. Ann's win in Kamloops, but the Mustangs were determined that it wouldn't happen again.

The Mustangs controlled much of the game, but didn't score in the first half. Late in the game it was still 0-0, but Lachlan Wallace scored on a through ball, making it 1-0. The defence and the Mustangs goalkeeper Luke Jones kept the score low, and the Mustangs won 1-0 to be the winners of the Okanagan Valley Championship.

“Overall the boys fought hard on their way to winning the Championship,” says Immaculata's athletic director, Paul Freire. “Essentially it became a war of attrition and in the end our guys found a little extra in the gas tank.”

Kelowna Christian School came in third, with Aberdeen Hall in fourth.
