Women's Rugby Wins 31-0 for Perfect Record

UBC Okanagan's women's rugby team remains undefeated following a 31-0 win over the Meraloma's rugby club.

The Heat dominated the game at Vancouver's Connaught Park on Saturday, finishing the fall schedule with a perfect 6-0 record. Kate Smith had the game's first try, with Kelsey Wurestl bringing the score to 12-0 at the break with her try converted by Chloe Worrall.

Jacqueline Dubreuil was also a star player, dominating play and scoring a try after the break. Wurestl and Smith each had another try in the second half, and Worrall converted two of the three tries for the 31-0 win.

The Heat squad are the league champions with their 15s season winding down. Heat rugby will start in 2015 and will train and play sevens to prepare for the CIS National sevens championship in March.
