The Penticton Vees managed to turn their luck around and beat out the West Kelowna Warriors, thanks to a 3 point effort from Lewis Zeter-Gossage and great goal tending from Hunter Miska at Friday nights game at the SOEC.

Miska made a whopping 27 saves Friday night, scrambling for the puck right in front of the net as the Warriors tried to utilized multiple potential goals.

The Vees garnered a 2-0 lead thanks to Zeter-Gossage and a power play marker from Cody Deporcq when the games was only eight minutes in.

Trying to make a comeback for the Warriors, Josh Bly managed to get the puck past Miska, bringing the score up to 2-1.

Patrick Sexton would later restore the two goal lead with a slap shot from the point with just two minutes left on the clock in the first period.

Shortly after Sexton's goal, Tanner Campbell cut to the middle and was hit by Mitch Newsome of the Vees. Mac Ferner came to Campbell's defence but the brawl between the two sent Ferner to the dressing room for the rest of the game.

The only goal scored in the middle frame was by Bly, bringing the Vee's ahead 3-2.

Scott Patton let in a goal at the 3:50 minute mark in the final period, bringing the score up to 4-2.

The Warriors are set to return on Saturday night at the Royal Lepage Place for a rematch against the Vees at 7 p.m.
