Hi Dolls,

I hope all is well with you guys this week. I know everyone is super busy gearing up for back to school and packing away what's left of summer; sad but true. I've been trying to reorganize and decluttered my home; which means going through my closet and makeup vanity to pass along anything I haven't used in the past six months.

While overhauling my home, I've been reunited with all of my makeup. It's no secret that I am addicted to lipstick. I won't even tell you how many I have, but I am definitely on my way to 100. For a regular, non-makeup artist mom, it's a little insane - I know!

I am an avid M.A.C Cosmetics shopper and I like to think that I know a thing or two about my lipstick shades. There are so many to choose from that can take you from the office to late night cocktails with friends, I just can't help myself! They also have a recycling program where when you return six M.A.C primary packaging containers, you can exchange for a free M.A.C lipstick of your choice. This adds up really quickly for me because I use about one eyebrow pencil a month at the rate that I'm drawing my brows in - hehe.

I decided to go through ALL of my M.A.C lipsticks and share with you my top contenders for this season... and all year round for that matter!

Nudes and Pinks

Angel: a pale baby pink shade with a hint of frost. Super girlie. This is my go to shade for work. It's a really nice and neutral shade that looks great with my fair skin. It's not "too pink" which I love! Subtle and classy - I couldn't ask for more! See the lipstick worn in this post.

Viva Glam II: this has a semi-matte finish. It's a mute pink/beige shade that is great for a neutral look. It's perfect for testing out that Kylie Kardashian "nude look" she’s always wearing.

Pink Plaid: this is a matte pale pink shade with cool undertones. Best on fair skin tones and looks great when you are wanting to achieve a real "pale pink look" without looking white and chalky. It lasts for hours but it can dry out your lips so I make sure I use a lip primer prior to applying.

Coral Shades

Giddy: this has a semi-gloss finish that resembles pink lemonade. It applies very lightly and is nice and sheer. I wore this lipstick in this post.

Coral Bliss: this shade has a creamy, high shine finish. The lipstick looks a lot brighter in the tube but it applies very sheer and you can build up the colour if you like. It's not 'BAM' unless you want it to be.

Bright Shades

Flat Out Fabulous: a bright plum with retro matte finish (very very matte). This definitely brings the 90s back and screams Fabulous!!! Excellent for a night out. I wore this shade in this post.

Twig: a deep brownish/pink shade great for medium skin tones. It has a smooth satin texture and looks great with a top knot and a cozy sweater.

Viva Glam I: a perfect matte red for a night out on the town! Enough said!

Remember that wearing matte lipstick can draw attention to every little line and crack on your lips so be sure to cleanse, exfoliate and prep those lips prior to application. I use M.A.C. Prep + Prime Lip because it also helps keep my lipstick on all day.

Whatever shade draws your attention, don't forget to pick yourself up a little something among all this back to school shopping because... you can never have too many lipsticks :) Enjoy your weekend and see you back here in a couple weeks!
