Bringing a little ‘big city’ into Kelowna

There's no denying that besides our incredible local boutiques we have in Kelowna, our shopping is kept to quite a minimum.

Topshop Canada has made its mark in The Bay for Kelowna shoppers, and it's safe to say it's going to be a big hit. Their grand opening kicked off Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with a DJ, drinks, snacks, giveaways and local fashionistas and socialites. Topshop definitely hit the Kelowna scene with a big bang with lineups through the mall. The OK Blogger Babes were lucky to be a part of this grand opening and meet the masterminds behind Topshop, buyers, marketing managers, etc. They are just as excited to be in the Kelowna community as we are to have them!

Their price points are reasonable enough to target ages 16+, allowing this new store to cater to countless consumers.

Now, the biggest question is, how does this effect our local boutiques? Price points aren’t a great deal in difference and I know that can be the biggest concern between boutiques and the ‘fast fashion' industry. Personally, I don't think it's something any of our local boutiques need to worry about. This is one big step in a great direction, hopefully with more stores seeing that there is a market here for them and more big chains starting to make their way into the Kelowna scene.
