You probably already know the nightly specials at your favourite pub, but I bet you didn’t know about these extra-special daily specials! These deals and features will definitely give you something new to look forward to in your week.

Tuesday – Date Night @ Bordellos

Bordellos Italian Pizzeria, tucked away above Sturgeon Hall Pub, crafts authentic Italian pizzas every night of the week. On Tuesdays, though, they have a crazy date-night deal to cure your weekday blues: a half litre of house red or white wine, AND a margherita pizza, for $18. The pizza regularly costs $14, so you’re almost getting free wine! Or, half price wine and pizza. Whichever way you look at it, it’s a date night that will please your bellies and your wallet. What’s better than Italian wine and thin-crust pizza made with traditional ingredients in a stone oven?

Wednesday – Bavarian Pretzel Day @ Okanagan Grocery

You already know that OG makes amazing sourdough bread, but did you know that on Wednesdays they make traditional bavarian pretzels? With either asiago cheese or thick-grain salt. They start at 11 a.m. and sell out before the end of the day, so go early and get them while they’re fresh! The chewy, salty, bready twists will get you through your hump day with a smile on your face.

Friday – Celebrity Burger Series @ Central Kitchen + Bar

Have you ever frequented a place so much that you think they should name something after you? Central is doing just that, every weekend. To honour their regulars and those that do great things in the community, they reach out to selected individuals and ask them: what would you put on your dream burger?

The now weekly tradition started about two months ago with our own mayor, Colin Basran, and his burger creation. It was called the “Baz,” and it had Central’s famous house made patty, a crisp piece of lettuce, aged cheddar cheese, double smoked bacon, house made citrus bourbon BBQ sauce and two crispy onion rings (YUM!). Every Friday, they’ll feature a different person and their dream burger. Is it just me, or are you looking forward to Friday more than you already were?!

Saturday – Spudnuts @ Pioneer Market! “10am while they last”

Spudnuts are potato donuts made with Kelowna glory and tradition. Only made fresh on Saturday mornings starting at 10am, most days they are totally sold out by 11 a.m., if not earlier -- we definitely recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.

Believe us that they’re worth the effort: they are warm, glazed, and have a light, chewy texture that will transform your Saturday morning from blah into brunch perfection. And, only 90 cents apiece. Enjoy on their patio with a cup of coffee for best results.

Sunday – Wine & Dine @ Kelowna Springs Golf Club

Sunday Funday is already great enough on its own, but now you can mix in golf, wine and dinner, for only $99 for two people. That $99 gets you and a friend 9 holes of golf in the Okanagan fall sunshine (just enough time to work up an appetite), a bottle of VQA wine and a $35 dinner voucher for the Legends Classic Grill. It’s the perfect thing to get yourself enjoying the great outdoors, a great friend and a great meal. Treat yo’ self! You deserve it.

Now that Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are covered, where do you go on Mondays and Thursdays for something special? I’d love to hear your suggestions!
