Winner of several prestigious business awards — including EY’s 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year in Real Estate, BIV’s 2015 Most Influential Woman in Business and Maureen Enser 2012 Future Leader Award winner — she is one of CHBA Canada’s Top 20 Most Influential People in Residential Development. She was also recognized as a Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada in 2017. Ms. Merrifield Wasylyk is a board member for First West Credit Union and a Director on the First West Credit Union Foundation board. She serves as a Director of the Breakfast Club of Canada’s national board, is a founding member of the Okanagan Sustainability Leadership Council and sits on the external advisory committee for UBCO. In addition to being a Canadian government delegate to the United Nations in 2015, Ms. Merrifield Wasylyk was Vice-Chair of the Premier’s Women’s Economic Council of B.C., a Director for the Interior Health Board, Past-Chair of the Urban Development Institute (Okanagan), and Past-Chair of the Economic Development Commission. Ms. Merrifield Wasylyk graduated as valedictorian from her first master’s degree program at the age of 21. Her second master’s degree, in business administration, was from the University of Liverpool, where her dissertation was on self-awareness in leaders and its contribution to corporate profitability.
