2020-08-18 12:00:00 2020-08-18 13:00:00 America/Vancouver Virtual Lunchbox Lecture: Beyond the Discomfort- Conversation that Matters Rawle James is a community builder, cultural activist, poet and will host ‘Beyond the Discomfort’ – Conversations that Matter. Together we will engage in a respectful conversation regarding racism and humanity’s civil unrest. Our time will be focused on Rawle sharing his thoughts on these current events as well as hearing your thoughts and opinions. It is only through empathic engagement where we can fully seek to understand other viewpoints which in turn could assist us in defining what role the individual and community can play as effective change agents. Chew on this! A virtual lecture series, coming to you wherever you like to eat your lunch. Kelowna Museums, Kelowna Art Gallery and Sncəwips Heritage Museum have partnered up to bring you the best guest speakers for all things Okanagan. From social and natural history, to the artists easel, and traditional syilx culture, it’s a lunchtime must. Zoom in to explore the Okanagan with us. The zoom ID will be emailed to you.
