Community Forum: Combatting Stigma and Poverty Shaming in Kelowna
We all have a part to play when it comes to building caring and inclusive communities.
Join us at this community forum where we will hear from people with lived experience of poverty sharing how stigma had impacted them and others. Then, we will work together reduce the impacts of poverty by building community responses to discrimination and stigma.
Staff from the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition will also give an update on the province's budget commitments to poverty reduction.
All are welcome!
Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
We can provide help with travel and childcare subsidies if required. Please e-mail christine@bcpovertyreduction.ca or text 250-258-8244 for more information.
