Jory Kinjo is a Canadian soul musician and songwriter from Calgary, AB. Kelowna has seen him in the past with soul band, Mocking Shadows opening for ZZ Top & Reba McEntire at the Rock the Bluffs Festivals of the mid 2000’s. Kinjo has performed on bills with Ziggy Marley, Buddy Guy and toured Canada opening for B.B. King.
Vic Ruggiero is an American musician, songwriter and producer from New York City who has played in reggae, blues, ska and rocksteady bands since the early 1990s. Ruggiero is best known as the frontman for long-standing New York ska band, The Slackers, but also for his distinct Bronx accent and his time with punk rock band Rancid.
These two musicians met on the ska scene and have been performing together since 2013. As a duo, they write and perform various forms of roots music, from old school rock n’ roll to country music.
Their debut release is “Vic & Jory Sing the Blues”, a 10-track, live off the floor blues recording to 2” tape. Vic is on vocals and plays electric guitar, kick drum, tambourine and harmonica. Kinjo is also on vocals and upright bass.
