If you like hiking in the Okanagan during the summer months there are several spectacular places to check out that include beautiful waterfalls not to be missed.
Depending on your ability and what type of difficulty you are looking for there are plenty of trails to choose from. Tourism Kelowna has put together a fairly extensive list of area hiking trails and here are a few of the highlights recommended to check out.
Canyon Falls Park in the Crawford area. (link to our story on Canyon Falls - includes video and photos)

Moderate to Difficult; 2 km - Dogs allowed on leash
Take Gordon Drive and turn left on to Dehart Road. Follow Dehart Road and turn right on Crawford Road. Take a right on Westridge Drive, right on Canyon Ridge Crescent and then right on Canyon Falls Court. There is a small cul-de-sac at the end. Look for the trail head and a small pathway that leads to Crawford Falls. To get to the lower falls takes about 20 minutes but is quite difficult. Once there you will see 20 foot falls. If you continue about 10 more minutes you will see the larger falls (40 feet).

Fintry Provincial Park

Moderate to Difficult; 2 – 3 km - Dogs allowed on lead
Fintry can be accessed by turning on Fintry Delta Road off of Westside Road. Approximately 34 km north of the junction of Westside Road and Hwy 97. Shorts Creek Gorge is a maintained trail that leads you through a gorge up about 400 stairs to a beautiful series of waterfalls.
Hardy Falls Regional Park Easy; 2 km (round trip) (see our story on Hardy Falls - includes pictures and video)

South of Peachland on Hwy 97 across from Antler’s Beach. Turn onto Hardy Road and follow up one block. Parking is on the opposite side of the trail-head access point. This is an easy and pleasant walk on a flat, well maintained trail
