It's an angler's dream! An Italian fisherman may have set a world record after he caught a 127 kilogram catfish using a classic fishing rod and reel.

The massive creature was measured in at 2.67 metres in length. Dino Ferrari took the glory for this potentially world record-setting wels catfish.
This big beaut was caught in Italy's Po River on February 19th.
Wels catfish typically live in large, warm lakes and deep, slow-flowing rivers. Large wels like to munch on frogs, mice, rats, and ducks and they like to hangout in sheltered locations such as holes in the riverbed.
Know for their massive mouths, this wels catfish is big enough to swallow a person.
