The big ol' black cat, with his red and white hat, is celebrating his 111th Birthday on this lovely Monday afternoon.

The man behind the cat, Dr. Theodor Suess, wrote and illustrated 44 books during his lifetime and his series of books for children have became a staple through much of North America and the world. Seuss was an American writer and cartoonist. His work eventually inspired several feature films, television specials, and broadway musicals.

Classics such as Green Eggs and Ham, the Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish, the Lorax, and Horton Hears a Who are beloved books adored by children and parents alike.
