The Ministry of Transportation has added several new webcams to the upper elevations just in time for the busy winter season.

A handful of new cameras are now live on the DriveBC website and will allow motorists to check traffic volume, for potential accidents, and weather conditions before hitting the road. The additional cameras help to complete the current video system already in place along the Coquihalla Highway.

The new Highway 5 webcams are located at the Box Canyon rest area, Portia chain up, Coquihalla summit and Zopkios rest area. Cameras along BC highways provide valuable information to motorists so they can be prepared for all types of driving conditions.

To see the view from the new cameras visit the DriveBC website.
