12 Okanagan restaurants crack list of 100 best spots for outdoor dining in Canada

It’s that time of year where almost every meal could be had on a patio.

To celebrate that, and today’s summer solstice, OpenTable has released a list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining.

On that list is 30 B.C. restaurants, with 12 of those located right here in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.

B.C. is the second most represented province on the list behind only Ontario (41), but it comes in well ahead of Alberta (17), Quebec (8), Manitoba (4) and the rest.

“The longest day of the year marks open season on Canada’s patios,” explains Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable. “The option to enjoy food and drink in an al fresco setting makes the experience that much more memorable.”

The list is generated solely from more than 550,000 restaurant reviews collected from verified OpenTable users between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.
