It’s the perfect beach companion and patio drink - it’s Rosé season and there are lots of options in Penticton to choose from.

To get you started, here are some Penticton born Rosé wines that will quench your thirst for summer.

To the patio!

2016 Glow Rosé, Bench 1775

Bench 1775 recommends pairing this one with “a big sun hat and oversized celeb sunglasses.” It also pairs with shellfish, light fish, cold pasta, sharp cheeses, and tarragon-accented food.

Their 2016 Glow Rosé won a gold medal at the 2017 Okanagan Wine Festivals BC Wine Awards, and a silver at the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada

2017 Rosé, Monster Vineyards

This Rosé has some serious pink power. With vibrant aromas of juicy cherries and dried cranberries, and bright watermelon in colour, this one tastes just as good as it looks.

Pairs perfectly with a summer patio!

2017 Rosé, Hillside Winery

Hillside’s 2017  Rosé is a new release. With bright aromas of wildflowers and field berries and red cherry and raspberry on the palate, this wine has a juicy finish fit for warm summer eves.

Pair it with cheese, a nice charcuterie board, or smoked salmon.

2016 FIZZ Rosé, Pentage

A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Zinfandel, this Rosé has aromas of ripe red berries. “Delicate flavours of fresh Okanagan cherries/strawberries mingle on your palate, delicious through to the last drop,” the wine specs conclude.

2016 Rosé, Tightrope Winery

This one is a blend of Pinot Noir and Barbera. Enjoy the aromas of raspberry, pink grapefruit, and lemon-lime, with a hint of spice. Makes a great pairing with a grilled cheese, or roasted turkey. A double gold winner in the Pacific Northwest Wine Awards 2017, as well as a host of other awards, this one is a must-try this summer.
