What is your name?
Lori Brown

What do you always find yourself saying?
Awesome.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Kirsten Lewis - she's an amazing documentary family photographer!

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Fearless Photographer Award

If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose?
Oooh... I would have to say Leonardo Da Vinci. Jack of all trades and an incredibly creative and revolutionary.

Who inspires you?
Too many people to list. Anyone who defies expectations, is a leader, those who overcome obstacles and challenges, those who change the status quo

What are three things on your bucket list?
Give an awards speech
Earn $1 million in one cheque
Take my kids to Disneyland

Please tell us about a defining moment in your life
When I gave birth to my daughter.

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
I think each day is a surprise for reason. If I got to foresee a day before it happened it wouldn't be a surprise the day it actually happened.

What are you passionate about?
My children, creating art, politics, annoying my husband.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Being a good mother. I think there's nothing higher to strive to than to devote yourself to creating a safe and loving place for your children, and some days it's difficult!

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna?
Misato's Kitchen. Not only is the food amazing and affordable, but it's run by a husband and wife team who are just the nicest people in the WHOLE WORLD. HI MISATO!

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna?
Summer. That's an event right?

What is your mission?
To create beautiful things for families and earn a living for my family doing it.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
To be recognized internationally for an award in my field. I have a long ways to go!

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
Right here. A strong client base, happy clients, quality work.

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Kirsten Lewis, Elisha Stewart, Jenna and Tristan Photography

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Experts in MARKETING! How to get your business out there and attract clients in today's world where photography is abundant. I'd ask them to help me, maybe bribe them with something from my purse. Like lip-gloss, or Band-Aids.

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
The lack of ethnic food - and how late restaurants stay open!

My nomination for the the In Focus spotlight is:
Ashley Greene - my wonderful husband!
