What is the best part of operating in our city?
It is the greatest city in Canada. That is why I love living here: the wonderful people, the lake, the parks, the mountain, the climate, all is fabulous. I should not forget the amazing Kelowna’s farmers market.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Working in a fasting retreat for six months in Texas in 1990. I was in charge of several people who came very sick and through fasting or juicing or eating raw foods they could recover their health. I could witness several amazing self-healing recoveries from the patients. I also fasted 27 days at the young age of 22 years.

What other businesses/organizations in our city would you recommend to others?
Massage therapist, my daughter Jade Lacerte is becoming a registered massage therapist. Also yoga teachers, gym and fitness facilities and hiking groups.

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
Keep the orchards and farmland. There’s no such warm climate in Canada to grow fruits and all the vegetables.  We need to preserve that. Without foods we perish.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
It’s just the perfect size and you can find anything you want that a big city: the city park on the lake, all the beaches, the farms and orchards around. The farmers market is a great weekly event. Also I like the fact that the there’s no fluoride in Kelowna’s water.

What is your favourite event in our city?
Canada Day and the fireworks.

Some general comments I would like to share are:
The best investment you can make is in your health. Kelowna is a healthy place to live where we can do a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, skiing.
