Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I grew up as an RCMP kid and so we lived in various places but I have been in Kelowna 24 years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I adore spending time with my husband, Cameron Hayward and my 4 kids.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
I love so many! Chaibaba Tea, The Green Vanity, any local retailer that focuses on local artisans.

Describe yourself in one word.
Multidimensional

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Scotland. I would love to further explore my ancestry there. Plus I love the rain.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
In the winter, snowshoeing with my husband and our pups. In the summer, visiting the Farmer's Market, canoeing local lakes.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Well, I am super clumsy so it would be difficult to nail down just one embarrassing moment.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?

Motherhood is by far the most inspiring thing that has happened to me. They keep me aspiring to be the best woman I can be.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I spent a summer with my grandparents on their farm in Ontario when I was a young teenager. I adored being out in the field with the horses and spending time at the markets with my Grandma, my aunties and mucking about the barns with my Grandad.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Over the years I have volunteered with youth organizations but more recently, various women's organizations that assist marginalized women locally and internationally.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Teach meditation to every child.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Into the forest.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Improvements in traffic flow and road infrastructure.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Its landscape is pretty spectacular.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1.Philanthropic endeavours
2.Travel
3.Off-grid living

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I have a spectacularly horrible singing voice.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
on Instagram @itsalluniversal or Facebook as Kihew Therapy and Wellness Inc.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Kihew Therapy & Wellness Inc.

Why did you get into/start this business?
To give people holistic alternatives to their emotional mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

What is the goal of your business?
To create a nurturing, safe place for our clients, or as I like to call them, guests, to remove the obstacles that prevent them from leading the life they deserve.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
The Old School Patriarchy. I love being a part of women rising and finding their power, their voices and self-love, so that balance between men and women can be restored.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would absolutely do it all over again. The good, the bad, the horrific because every part of it, every experience has been an opportunity for growth and understanding.

What do you always find yourself saying?
The word 'interesting'. Life is super interesting.

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
"Your response is your responsibility."

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Gregg Braden.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Because a strong local economy is a strong community.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Motherhood.
