Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I grew up in Penticton and have lived in Kelowna nine years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My wife and kids, because they keep me grounded and remind me not to take life too serious.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
August Motors is my favourite store because it's like a candy store for car enthusiasts.

Describe yourself in one word.
Motivated

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Holland, that's where my family is from and it would be neat to see the culture there.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Wakesurfing

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I would have to say being apart of the Okanagan Dream Rally and seeing what a big impact people can make on kids with disabilities. It's wonderful just seeing them smile and laugh and yell out the windows of there favourite cars, it is super inspiring, especially seeing how something so simple can make these kids so happy!

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
That is a hard one, I would have to say when I was 14 and I found out my first car was being delivered to my house. The second would be when I was walked out the door to go to school and boom! There it was getting unloaded off the tow truck.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I volunteer my time to decal most of the cars for the Okanagan Dream Rally and I also like to host a local car meet once and a while to give the up and coming car enthusiasts a place to show off there rides in a safe environment.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Equality

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
The lookout on Dilworth.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
I would love to see a positive change in the road systems. As well as more respect towards others from young and old, there is a lot of character judging in this town and its a bit unsettling.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The lakes, mountains and the people.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

  1. Jumping off a cliff in a squirrel suit
  2.  Going on a 30-60 day adventure exploring abroad, going wherever the road takes us!
  3. Owning a supercar.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
Once I get excited about something there is no stopping me!

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Facebook and Instagram

What is the name of your business/organization?
Mirror Image Customs

Why did you get into/start this business?
It was a passion of mine from the day I purchased my first car.

What is the goal of your business?
To personalize things to peoples taste and making their dreams a reality!

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
The work/life balance.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
There are defiantly some things that I would change but for the most part I would keep it the same.

What do you always find yourself saying?
No worries!

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
You have to work hard to acheive what you want, it may not come instantly but persistance will pay off.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment would be having children, and building the brand for my business.

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Matt August, because he has helped me push the boundaries of my personal success and my business goals. With his help, I was able to take it to the next level!
