Meet Brittney. She is born and raised in Kelowna! 

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My dog as she’s always happy to see me and brings so much joy!

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Lululemon because I live in their clothes.

Describe yourself in one word.
Busy, very busy.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Churchill, Manitoba. I’ve always wanted to see polar bears and beluga whales. It's also in our own country!

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Skiing Big White in the winter then wakesurfing and boating in the summer.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Way too many, I don’t even know where to start. Falling off a chairlift in front of hundreds of ski racers was quite embarrassing.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I’ve recently participated in the Okanagan Dream Rally. Being able to witness the joy you can bring many individuals who have gone through a lifetime battle is such an incredible feeling. This event has inspired me to get more involved in our community and make a difference.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Traveling all over Western British Columbia for ski races and sailing the British Virgin Islands for a month with my family

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Our local food bank, CIBC run for the cure, Big White Ski Club, Kelowna's Women Shelter, Okanagan Dream Rally supporting Autism Okanagan, KidSport Kelowna, and Central Okanagan Hospice Association.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
To make education accessible to everyone around the globe.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Big White.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
To make more affordable housing for lower-income families as well as students and more community involvement.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The breathtaking landscapes and the seasons.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Visit Churchill, Manitoba to see polar bears
2. Hike The West Coast Trail
3. Cage dive with sharks 

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I love going fast, whether it's on skis or in a car on a race track.

Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Shoreline Pile Driving.

Why did you get into/start this business?
Shoreline Pile Driving was started by my dad in 1983 so keeping the business in the family is very important to me.

What is the goal of your business?
To be the industry’s leading residential and commercial dock builder on Okanagan Lake.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Finding a healthy balance between work and my social life.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Things would be the same. I’m extremely thankful for everything I have experienced and accomplished during this lifetime.

What do you always find yourself saying?
'Yes'

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Travel as much as you can.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Warren Buffett.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
To support our local community, economy and locally owned businesses.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Earning my finance degree and studying abroad in Vienna, Austria.

Jade Davidson. He's an incredibly hard working individual who I consider a very close friend.
