Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I am originally from The Netherlands!
I moved to Kelowna about 5 months ago.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with?
I don’t have a specific person, I love hanging out with my friends, going for drinks, hiking and being able to have a support system of people that I can count on.
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Alchemy, they have beautiful jewelry and unique items!
Describe yourself in one word..
Honest.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Madrid, Spain. Back in 2014, I spent a year living in Madrid and I absolutely fell in love with the city, the people and of course all the delicious food!
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Hiking and paddleboarding.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I think embarrass myself on a daily basis, haha.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Watching my parents immigrate to a different country with two young kids.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Camping in the South of France with my family, going to buy a fresh baguette everyday and never managing to keep it in one piece.
Where do you volunteer or give back in the community?
I like to donate to various charities throughout the year.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I want world peace!
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
I would choose to go on a hike or tuck away in a coffee shop.
Where would you like to see a positive change in Kelowna and why?
I would like there to be a solution to the ongoing homeless crisis in Kelowna.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The people, the beautiful waterfront and all the amazing things Kelowna has to offer.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Visit Capetown, South Africa
2. To have a family
3. To learn more languages.

I have an extremely dry sense of humour.

To help businesses in the community flourish through our marketing strategies.

I try to be positive with everything I do. So no struggles here :)
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
No, I trust the journey.
What do you always find yourself saying?
Everything happens for a reason.

Work hard and don’t worry what other people think about you.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My oma, she lives in Amsterdam and I’d love to spend the day chatting with her.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
You directly support families by supporting local and that money goes back into the economy. Leaving the city better off.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
I’m proud that I speak 4 languages and finished my bachelor's this year! I’m excited to start my Masters soon!
