Meet Fitz-Morris! Fitz-Morris is originally from Jamaica and has been living here in the beautiful Okanagan for six years now. He enjoys bowling, eating ice cream and spending some quality time with his children. 


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?    

I am originally from Jamaica. I came to Canada in 2007, and have been living in West Kelowna for the past 6 years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My favourite people to spend time with are my kids because they bring joy and laughter into my life.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Moolix because I love their pistachio ice cream.

Describe yourself in one word.    
Determined.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I would go to Australia because I have always wanted to visit there.


What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?    
Bowling.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
When the people at the Foothills ice cream distribution know exactly who you are becasue you eat an 11 litre bucket of ice cream a month.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?    
I would say, being selected from 360 people to make the final 12 from Jamaica to represent my country for the first formwork program in 2007 to work as a carpenter in Canada. It has shown me that anything I put my mind to I can make possible.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I would say playing volleyball to represent my school. I was the best server.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I support the Heart And Stroke Foundation, and functions at my kids' school.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?    
Bring hope to orphans, the poor, and help those with addictions.


Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
To the beach.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?    
The homelessness, as I see too much of it going on in our city.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The wineries, the views of the lakes and mountains and the orchards with fresh fruits.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Travel the world, climb a mountain, be involved in the fashion industry with my business.

I love a challenge.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Enlight Designs

Why did you get into/start this business?
I grew up watching my parents make leather products and wanted to show the world how creative I can be.

What is the goal of your business?
To be unique in making handmade leather products.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?    
Working too much at times.


If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?

Same

What do you always find yourself saying?
"I have to work."

Tell us your best piece of life advice.    
"When you don't see a way never give up, just pray and believe your hard work will pay off."

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My Lamour

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
To give businesses a fighting chance.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Having a family of my own.
