Meet Keith! He is a lawyer residing in Kelowna, originally from Bonnyville, Alberta!

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I'm originally from Bonnyville, Alberta, stopped-off in Calgary for 12 years before moving to Kelowna 4 years ago

Who is your favourite person to spend time with?
I love spending time with my wife (Anjali) and our two sons (Cadel and Jackson).

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
There are so many to choose from, but right now, I'm enjoying KB&Co Casual Eats and Vice & Virtue Brewing.

Describe yourself in one word.
Multifaceted.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
This is an interesting question in the current Covid-19 environment.  I'd probably choose to be on a live aboard boat in the Galapagos Islands.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
When I'm not having fun with my family, I enjoy road cycling.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Completing this profile.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Witnessing the strength and courage with which my wife has fought her battle with breast cancer.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Summers at the lake with family and friends.

Where do you volunteer or give back in the community?
I'm currently a member of the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission's Advisory Council and a member of the TSX Venture Exchange's Local Advisory Committee.  I also participate in many charity bike rides, walks and runs throughout the year.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Provide access to affordable healthcare and nutrition to all.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Generally somewhere in East Kelowna on my road bike or mountain biking in Crawford.

Where would you like to see a positive change in Kelowna and why?
I would like to see additional clean-up, investment and general commercial development in the downtown core.  There is a lot of opportunity in this area, but it requires strong leadership and positive action to optimize the potential.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
In my view, Kelowna is unique in that it is located in a beautiful geographic setting, has a vibrant and entrepreneurial business culture, has wonderful culinary options, and has almost unlimited opportunities for outdoor pursuits.  It is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Climb Mount Kilimanjaro with my wife and kids
2. Participate in a RAGBRAI race
3. Visit the Maldives

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I used to live in Bangkok, Thailand.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Pushor Mitchell website: https://www.pushormitchell.com/lawyer/keith-inman/
LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/keith-inman-80869a4/

What is the name of your business/organization?
Pushor Mitchell LLP

Why did you get into/start this business?
I think I initially went to law school to avoid having to get a real job after my undergraduate degree.  After graduating from law, I chose to pursue a career as a business lawyer with a particular focus on securities laws because I enjoy working with entrepreneurs and helping them achieve their goals.

What is the goal of your business?
To enrich our clients, team and community.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Achieving a balance between my professional life and personal life.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would largely do things the same, with a few tweaks here and there.

What do you always find yourself saying?
Relax.

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
The people around you matter.   No matter what you do in life, your ability to succeed will largely be dependent on your ability to work with people.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I'm going to go with Bill Gates.  I expect that the conversation would be very interesting, covering his experience as an entrepreneur, to being the leader of one of the largest companies in the world, to his global philanthropic pursuits.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Shopping locally for both products and services keeps more money in our local economy which fosters growth in our community.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Having my two sons (though my wife did the heavy lifting there!)

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Anjali Inman deserves a shout out.  In addition to being an amazing partner, friend and wife, Anjali is also a terrific mother, an accomplished lawyer, a director of the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank an entrepreneur, and is in the process of completing her MBA.  "

My choice for the KelownaNow In Focus spotlight is:
Anjali Inman
