Meet Kelsey! Kelsey was born in Kelowna and grew up in Vancouver! She enjoys spending time with her daughter and going for hikes.


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?

I was born in Kelowna but grew up in Vancouver. I moved back to Kelowna 5 years ago.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My Daughter because she is my best friend.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Don-O-Ray Farms, Its a great place for the entire family! Not to mention, great produce, baked pies and the yummiest butter chicken.

Describe yourself in one word.
Fun

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Thailand, I spent 4 months there before I had my daughter.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Hiking, beaches, and wine tasting.


What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?

The day I became a Mom. I now start my days choosing to be better, and to do better. I want nothing more than my daughter's little eyes watching me, and having her look to me for inspiration. I want to show her that she can have anything in this world, and that she can be anything she wishes to dream.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I have so many! In the summer playing in the pool with my brothers and sisters! Food fights! Family vacations to sea side Oregon!
Sunday dinners at my Nannies house!

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I love supporting local moms! Especially single parents, as I know how hard it can be.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Poverty

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Anywhere hiking, where i might see the beautiful orchards and lakes.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Working to support and clean up the downtown homeless. We are a city full of opportunity. Work with our local businesses to start a program, offering work in our community. Maybe spearhead seasonal work in orchards, teaching them to be proud of themselves through making a wage, acquiring warm shelter and food. Help build life skills and to become independent.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
We are known as "Wine country" yet in my eyes we are a city of beauty. Lakes, Orchards, Freedom and full of opportunities as we grow. On that note, some amazing award winning wines on which to be proud.


What are 3 things on your bucket list?

To give my daughter the best life possible.
To grow a successful business.
To travel to Thailand again.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I used to train in Muay Thai and fought in Thailand.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Xoxo Esthetics

Why did you get into/start this business?
I started this business because it's always been my passion, but also to create a better future for my daughter and myself.

What is the goal of your business?
To be a well recognized esthetics studio in Kelowna.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Balance! I feel like that is everyone's struggle!


If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?

I wouldn't change anything because everything has led me to where I am right now.

What do you always find yourself saying?
"Don't touch that!"

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Never give up! its never to late find your passion!

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My Daughter! She's my world!

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
When shopping locally you are supporting your local economy and supporting someone's dream!

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My business.

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Wendy Stebblings, she's the most caring women I have ever met. I couldn't of done all of without her
