Meet Kevin! Kevin is originally from Norway and has been living here in the beautiful Okanagan for 30 years now. He enjoys browsing the local goods at Don-O-Ray Farms and spending some quality time with his loved ones.


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?

Born in Norway. Been in Kelowna 30 years. 

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My brother and sister. They are the same brand of crazy. 

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Don o'Ray's Market. Great local produce from hard working and passionate owners. 

Describe yourself in one word.
Passionate


If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?

My home. I'm happy in my home and love where I live. I'm happy sharing it with my friend and enjoying the amenities. Also, I am using as a part of the launch pad for future enterprises. . 

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
2 wheels of any capacity. 

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I am fairly shameless. As a kid I remember bursting in on my auntie in the bathroom and feeling mortified. Not by her or anything. I now enter bathrooms more cautiously. 

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I don't believe it's a moment. I have a lot of people in my life who constantly inspire me. My close friends, my brother and sister, parents. We're also fortunate enough to live in a time where there are resources with sources of inspiration everywhere around us. 


Tell us your favourite childhood memory.

My grandparents 50th anniversary and the family reunion that came along with it. 

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I am currently a substittute welding instructor. I do my best to spend extra time with the students. Also contributing extra to the facility and the programs as well.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Greed. There's plenty of wealth to go around.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Nice try. That's top secret. 


Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?

Traffic infrastructure comes to mind immediately. Homeless and transient are an unfortunate result of a number of flawed systems. It would be great to see some positive but I'm really not sure where to begin.  

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Its location and the nature we get to live amongst. 

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
A family 
Contributing in a real positive way to as many people as I can.  Those who haven't been given the same good fortune as I have. 
Competing at some capacity at a world class level. 

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I hate cold water.

Facebook and Instagram. 

What is the name of your business/organization?
Limetree Enterprises Ltd 

Why did you get into/start this business?
To take my success into my own hands. 

What is the goal of your business?
To be a platform that will assist me in carrying out the things on my bucket list. 


What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?

Depression. 

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Same. 

What do you always find yourself saying?
"Thank you."

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
"Do what it takes to find your passion. Don't be afraid to go after whatever that ends up being."

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
If we don't support our local business owners, who will?

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Being a teacher
