Meet Marie Frick and Lynne Frick! Marie and Lynne both enjoy being outdoors enjoying nature, whether it's out on the water paddle boarding or enjoying the view from the beach and spending quality time with family. 


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?

Marie - Born and raised in Kelowna.
Lynne - Moved from the lower mainland 40 years ago. Kelowna is home for both of us and always will be.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Family is our top priority. We are a very close family and enjoy vacationing together.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Marie - Funktional. They have a huge variety of unique products which is always changing.
Lynne - Springfield Bulk Foods. They have great prices and good quality food products.

Describe yourself in one word.
Marie - Workaholic
Lynne - Likeable

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Marie - Someplace hot and tropical. I am a summer person and love the beach, Pina Coladas :)
Lynne - Europe. I love the history, culture and the food is amazing.


What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
SUMMER, Beach, anything outside

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Too many too name

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Marie - Going to Designer Con and seeing all the amazing artists. There are artists from all over the world and being able to talk to them about their creations is very inspiring. 
Lynne - When my mom passed away I found out a lot about her and what she had done in the community. It made me want to be a better person and gave me a better outlook on life.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Marie - Our camping trips. Cooking food in tinfoil over the campfire! Best food ever! 
Lynne - Hiking in Golden Ears Park

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
We both donate clothes 3-4 times a year to the Rutland Auxilary Thrift Store.


If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Predjudism

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Lynne - Top of Knox Mountain.
Marie - On the lake Paddleboarding

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Lynne - More left turn signals to help traffic flow on the Highway.
Marie - Traffic flow

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Everything


What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Marie - Travel to Europe and PEI
Lynne - Travel to Africa and Egypt, Learn to Scuba Dive

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
Marie - I collect Designer Toys (sculptures), Artwork, Skulls and am a huge James Patterson fan (over 100 of his books).
Lynne - I have my tongue pierced

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Facebook and Instagram.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Splish Splash Bath Bombs


Why did you get into/start this business?

Marie - My brain is always thinking of ideas and one day it popped into my head. At the time my mom was retiring and I convinced her to start a bath bomb business with me. Thought it would be a little hobby and now it has turned into more, which is great!

What is the goal of your business?
To create Fun and Unique Bath Bombs for everyone. We would love to one day have a small storefront.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Marie - Being in management at a very young age and not being taken seriously.
Lynne - Nothing really bothers me that much

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Same

What do you always find yourself saying?
Marie - I need more sleep and there is not enough time in the day.
Lynne - I need more sun


Tell us your best piece of life advice.
"Treat others the way you would want to be treated."

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Marie - Chris Ryniak. He is an amazing sculpture in designer toys. I have been a huge fan for years and would love to chat about how he thinks of his creations and the process. I am also a big fan of his wife's work!
Lynne - Queen Elizabeth. I would like to see what a day in the life of the queen is all about.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Helps our cities economy. We help peoples dreams come true by supporting local businesses big and small.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
How far we have come in only 6 months of starting our Bath Bomb Business.

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Jennifer Martens. She is all about promoting local business and helping others.
