What is your name?
Michael James Alexander Christy.

Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta but have lived in Kelowna since 1992.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Crystal, because she's so amazing! And, Dustin from Floatspace, the guy is a genius.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Maldives. It is a South Asian Island Country. I just looks so much like 'my jam'.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Gratitude Cafe, amazing food!

What is your favourite activity?
I enjoy so many activities, but right now it's Monday night hockey.

If you had to choose: pizza, tacos, or burgers?
GF pizza from Hansen's Classic Pizza.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Having my pants pulled down in front of my friend's girlfriend's face during breakfast when we were roommates.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Discovering yoga from with-in.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Spending time with my family each summer at Cannon Beach in the 80's and 90's.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Kelowna Food Bank, and whenever the right opportunity comes up. I've volunteered for many karma yoga classes, spoke at 'Conversations that Matter' and have taught yoga and meditation to men struggling with addictions.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
To be less dependent on fossils fuels and create more affordable and sustainable power options worldwide.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Chilling in my hammock.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Floatspace.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
On Leon street.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
It's really a one of a kind place to be, so too many things to list.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
I'm currently recreating my bucket list, because I've crossed off so many things already.
1. Maldives
2. Heli snowboarding (again)
3. Travel to a new place I have never been each year.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I like to play music. Piano and guitar.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Fluidpower Personal Training.

Why did you get into/start this business?
My clients inspired me to do it.

What is the goal of your business?
To teach people that health and vitality are the vehicles to achieve your goals and dreams in life.

What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
To not take things too seriously.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would do things the same.

What do you always find yourself saying?
'Rep'em out!'

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Paul Chek, the guy is a trip. There is no one like Paul. I've been fortunate enough to have spent many days with him, and I hope do it again!

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Yes!

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Recently having won sliver in Kelowna's best, and finishing my 2nd diploma in LA this year.
