Meet Randy Crick. Randy is from Alberta but has lived in Kelowna for the past seven years. Randy is all about exploring the mountains and hanging out with his loved ones. 


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
Alberta. Here for the last 7 years. 

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My wife! She is my best friend!

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Farmers Market. Local treats!

Describe yourself in one word.
Artistic and focused!

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Here. Blessed to be here!!!!

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Exploring the mountains.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Can't say!

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?

Being juried into the Federation of Canadian Artists 6 months into learning how to paint.Nothing but gratitude!!!

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
All outdoor activities with mom and dad. X-mass tree harvesting.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
My company does Karma classes and we focus on families in need every month and are able to donate directly to those in need.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Compassion for the human race.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Up in the mountains with my family and my dog!

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Huge issues in around homelessness. I am a retired social worker and would really like to share some specific thoughts and ideas in around supporting Kelowna with concrete plans to move forward for our community. I have tried to contact the city but so far it has been difficult to do that! 

What do you think makes Kelowna great?

Climate and the fact that people love living here!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Don't have one. To date, I have lived an amazing fulfilled life and look forward to supporting others to do the same.

I have a sensitive side!

Randy Crick Watercolors and Modo Yoga Kelowna.

Why did you get into/start this business?
My daughter.

What is the goal of your business?

To improve the quality of life here through my art and Yoga business.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Keeping the focus.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
No.

What do you always find yourself saying?
Grateful.

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Live in the now. Do not worry about tomorrow.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Eric Clapton.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
We have to support our local economy which will keep the money here and allow our businesses to flourish.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?

Becoming a professional watercolor artist and be able to raise money for our community!!!
