Meet Shauna. Shauna is Okanagan born and raised! She enjoys touring all the incredible local wineries here in the Okanagan and sharing some laughs with her girlfriends! 


Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I was lucky enough to grow up in Kelowna!

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My girlfriends because we never stop laughing.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Frock & Fellow - recycling and finding the best fashion.

Describe yourself in one word.
Electricity.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Italy - it's in my blood and I haven't had a chance to experience Europe.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Wine touring. Hello.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I can't give out this kind of information!


What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Finding my passion for floral design, becoming an entrepreneur and now inspiring other's to live their dreams.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Swinging in the hammock under the walnut tree, picking the fruit from the yard and rolling in the grass next to Nonna and Nonno's garden.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I think it's important to bring people together within our community to learn and experience, this is where the workshops we host come into play. Our team at Passionate Blooms participate with the Heart of Gold to raise money for the hospital which can benefit anyone of us or our family members throughout a lifetime.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Negative into positive.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Anywhere in nature. Especially in the forest.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Supporting one another in small business to grow our community. As well, hosting more events to bring people together and network.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The lake. The mountains. The vines. The sun. The people.


What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Enter + win a floral competition.
Take a cooking class in Italy.
Bonsai a tree and maintain the most beautiful garden.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I am a romantic.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Face to face is the best, otherwise Instagram.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Passionate Blooms Floral

Why did you get into/start this business?
Because I love the way plants and flowers make me feel.

What is the goal of your business?
Bringing happiness to people through nature.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Taking on too much, thinking I can do it all and realizing the importance of balance.


If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
We all know you cannot change your past. Be proud of your choices and focus on the present!

What do you always find yourself saying?
More wine, please!

"Push your limits, you are pure potential."

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I want to spend time with any artist or entrepreneur who pushes themselves to be the best at their craft. Those inspiring humans who love what they do and have followed their dreams and want to share that passion with others.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It grows our community, we all work very hard to make our small businesses stay afloat. Support one another and appreciate!

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Opening and running my business for the past 6 years.
