Meet Susinn, she grew up in Edmonton, spent most of her life in Kamloops and has lived in Kelowna for one year

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Ray Pruitt is my favourite person to spend time with. We both love travelling in our air stream and exploring BC!

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
I love Glenmore Market. The people who work there are friendly and helpful and they have wonderful fresh produce!

Describe yourself in one word.
Peaceful

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I don't want to go anywhere. I love Kelowna, the Okanagan Valley has lots of places to explore.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
I love working out at Orange Theory Fitness! Great staff and really good workouts!



What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
The most inspiring thing to happen to me was being introduced to Law of Attraction by my good friend Leslie Hall. Knowing that I can change my life and what I experience by changing my thoughts was a totally new concept for me!

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My favourite memory is of riding my horse on trails and old country roads west of Edmonton. I loved the adventure, the beautiful country and the comradery!

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Since I've been in Kelowna, I have made an effort to connect to people starting out in my field and I offer them my support and guidance.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Knox Mountain

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
I would like to see the problem with homeless people solved. I know it is a huge problem worldwide and encompasses economic and social problems so I have no idea where to start but I hope it can get better.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The people and surrounding environment make Kelowna great!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

  1. Take my wee sheltie to dog agility training.
  2. Learn to sing.
  3. Grow most of my food

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I was once an oral radiologist.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Kelowna Feldenkrais

Why did you get into/start this business?
I believe this work helps people move more fully into life.

What is the goal of your business?
The goal of Feldenkrais Method is to help people move through life easily, comfortably and elegantly.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Describing the Feldenkrais Method.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would do things the same; I have two wonderful daughters and can't imagine life without them!

What do you always find yourself saying?
That's interesting.

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Listen to yourself.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I would love to spend a day with Michael Singer who wrote The Tethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment. I loved both those books and would love to see how he lives and to be able to ask him questions.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
I think shopping locally is important for our community, for our economy and for our environment.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Raising my two lovely daughters!

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Rosina Whitelock who is an amazing tutor/coach for young people. She made a big difference in my daughters' lives and I know she continues to help many kids be successful in school and life.
