Meet Tammy! She was born and raised in Penticton but moved to Kelowna.  She loves what she does go visit her at the Hidden Gem Restaurant in Kelowna!

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My Family!

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Quality greens, I enjoy supporting local with fresh produce and unique products.

Describe yourself in one word.    
Dynamic

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Vegas I love going there, my home away from home.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?    
Walking in the parks or along the beaches.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Tripping up a set of stairs.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?    
Raising my children, watching them grow and having our lives evolve to where they are today.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Being very active with my school and peers, with public speaking, band, volleyball, gymnastics, basketball, and dance.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I give back to my community by helping my clients with my first company and making sure at Hidden Gem that all the guests are very well taken care of.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?    
Have people appreciate and respect each other for whom they are.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Going to a Spa!

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?    
I would like to see big developers addressing the affordability of homes for income challenged families and individuals.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Weather, amenities, and locals who support locals!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
1.Would love to take ALL my children to Miami and then on a cruise.
2. Take my Mom to Las Vegas with me.
3. Go see Eminem in concert.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I have 11 children, same Mom, and Dad from my first marriage

What is the name of your business/organization?
Hidden Gem Restaurant

Why did you get into/start this business?
To give a fine- dining experience like no other in Kelowna

What is the goal of your business?
To provide an exceptional experience and great employment for locals. 

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?    
Having enough time in the day to get everything done.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I would do it slightly different

What do you always find yourself saying?
"A new life begins at dawn."

Tell us your best piece of life advice.    
Don't stress about what you can't control and learn to pick your battles. 

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
I would like to meet Michelle Obama!

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
To support Locals and to help make Kelowna thrive

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Being able to do what I do daily!

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
